THOMAS COLQUITT HARDMAN, III, 91 Editor and Writer WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Thomas Colquitt Hardman, III, age 91, died of heart failure Tuesday (April 17, 2007) at Good Shepherd Hospice. Born in Commerce, Georgia on July 13, 1915, he came here from Jacksonville, FL., in 1962. He was a retired magazine editor and writer. He also was former president of the Boating Writers International and a member of the American Water Ski Educational Foundation. He was a former associate editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine, NYC. and former editor and publisher of the Outboard Magazine and Boating Progressor. He was former editor of the Water Skier in Winter Haven. He was a Air Force veteran of World War II, having served as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Winter Haven. Mr. Hardman is survived by his wife, Norma Friend Hardman, Winter Haven; sons, Thomas C. Hardman, IV, Davenport, Robert L. Hardman, Winter Haven; daughter, Gail Hecko; brother, William M. Hardman, Decatur, GA.; grandchildren, Brandi Lynn Hardman, Nancy Hecko, and Sara Hardman; great grandchild, Bayly Lyn Hardman. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007, at St. John's United Methodist Church in Winter Haven with the Rev. H.W. Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale.
