JOHNSON Thomas Charles Johnson, age 65 passed away at Bridgeport Hospital on February 22, 2010 after a courageous battle at his loving home with cancer. Son of the late Ernest Johnson and the late Anne Nemergut-Johnson; he was born and raised in Trumbull. He currently resided in Stratford, Thomas was in the first graduating class from Trumbull High School. He was employed at General Electric as an appliance repair engineer, Connecticut Bank and Trust as an electrical engineer. He also repaired and maintained computers on Wall Street. Lastly, in his retirement he owned Venture Write, writing technical electronics books, and also became a music consultant and DJ. He was a lifetime member of the Pequonnock Yacht Club. Also, he was a member of many local bands including: Potter's Field, Friends, and Time Machine. In these bands he was a vocalist, played rhythm guitar, and bass. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Marks Church in Stratford. His hobbies included: fishing, boating, gardening, camping, and antique cars. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Hollie M. Johnson, His son, Thomas G. Johnson, his future son-in-law, Jason L. Pancher; and his future step-grandson, Brandon J. Pancher. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-laws, Carolyn and Philo Shelton of Fairfield, Susan and Joseph Batcha of Sandy Hook; nieces and nephews, Jessica Batcha of Sandy Hook, Joseph and Kelly Batcha of Weston, Anne and Dr. Frank Mele of Fairfield, Philo and Debbie Shelton of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; Ernest, Thomas and Kerstein Johnson, children of his predeceased brother Ernest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Church Stratford. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, February 27, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
