Thomas Andrew Fleming passed away on June 21st in Oceanside after a long illness. He was 43. Born on November 2, 1966, Tom grew up with a love of music, the San Diego Chargers and surfing in the Pacific. Raised in Rancho Bernardo, he graduated from Poway High School and attended Palomar College and Mesa College. He worked at the San Diego Wild Animal Park and Legoland. Tom was a good cook with an affection for very spicy food. He also enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephews. Tom is survived by his parents, Ival and Robert; brothers, Jim and Steve; sister-in-law, Ruthann; nephews, Sam and Joey Fleming; and niece, Laura Fleming. A funeral Mass will be held July 2 at 1 pm at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Poway.
