Thomas "Tom" Anderson, 77, of Lynn, IN passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 20, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1934 in Richmond, IN the son of Dale and Iva May (Vannatta) Anderson. He honorably served in the US National Guard.Tom had worked in the casket industry all of his adult life. He had served many different roles including plant manager for Astral Industries. One of his greatest joys was growing his beard and portraying Santa Clause for the community and its children. He was a devoted husband, caring for his wife for many years.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jean Lavonne (Williams) Anderson; a son, Edward Leroy Anderson (wife, Janet) of Centerville; two daughters, Katherine Elaine Thomas (husband, Dale) of Lynn and Lisa Gale White (husband, Jeff) of Lynn; two brothers, George Anderson (wife, Patricia) of Plainfield, IN and Ralph Owen Anderson (wife, Susan) of Crawfordsville, IN; two sisters, Angela Largent (husband, Buford) of Crawfordsville and Sarah Ann Waldron (husband, Jack) of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David and John D. Anderson.A service to celebrate Tom's life will be 2:30 pm Friday, August 24, 2012 at Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN. Burial will follow in Quaker Lynn Cemetery of rural Lynn, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 12 noon to service time on Friday.
