MERIDEN - Thomas Aloysius O'Brien III, 50, died at home on Monday, Oct. 22, 2007. Born in Meriden on July 31, 1957, the son of Thomas O'Brien II and the late Rosemarie (Christopher) O'Brien and was a lifelong Meriden resident. He served four years with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Henry B. Wilson. Tom had a lifelong passion for the martial arts, enjoyed music and the outdoors. He touched many people with his loving and caring nature. Besides his father, he is survived by a daughter, Christina O'Brien of Meriden; a sister, Elizabeth Suscietto and her husband, Ralph of Wallingford; two brothers, Christopher O'Brien and his wife, Barbara of Merrimack, N.H., and Jamie O'Brien of Durham; he is also survived by a niece, Kelsey O'Brien; and three nephews, Torey O'Brien, Daniel O'Brien and Robert Suscietto. He was predeceased by a sister, Eileen O'Brien. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, with the Rev. Jack Hoak officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. www.jferryfh.com
