Therese R. Messier, 95, of East Hartford, died Sunday, (September 11, 2005), at Kimberly Hall in Windsor. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Messier. Born January 26, 1910 in Saint Agathe, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of Alfred and Bernadette Rouleau. Therese and Paul were very active in the Meals on Wheels program, and she was a Lector at Mass at St. Issac Jogues for many years. She is survived by her four daughters and two sons, Bernadette Benner and husband, Donald of West Hartford, Roger Messier and wife, Gail of East Hartford, Annette Ouellet and husband, Louis of Ellington, Paulette Moran and husband, William of Torrington, Roland Messier and wife, Delores of Thornton, CO, and Claudette Messier of Manchester. She also leaves two sisters, Helene Krajewski of Groton and Gertrude Coolbeth of Inverness, FL; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, September 16, at 9:15 a.m. at the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 Main St., East Hartford to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Issac Jogues Church, 1 Community St., East Hartford, with burial immediately following in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Therese's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Avenue, P.O.
