Theresa Alexina Carter (nee Charity) April 28, 1932 August 31, 20100 Terry passed away on August 31, 2010 with her family by her side after her most recent battle with cancer. Left behind to mourn her are her devoted children Debbie (Darryl), Fred (Bev) and Ted (Brenda); her grandchildren Tim (Jess), Anthony (Sherry), Dan, Sam (Matt) and Jared; and her greatgrandchildren Jordan, Brayden, Troy, Mackenzie, Dalton and Mariah and her nephew Dennis (Amy) and great-nephews Riley, Wyatt and Xabier. She is predeceased by her husband Robert, her parents, and all of her siblings: Emil, Raymond, Yvonne, Richard and Doris. She was born in Willow Bunch and grew up around Hudson Bay. She graduated from the Saskatoon School for the Deaf in 1951. After working as a waitress in Hudson Bay, Saskatoon, and Boston Bar BC, Terry met and married Robert, her husband of 47 years. For a brief time they lived in Oregon, where their two oldest children were born, they returned to Hudson Bay in 1962. They expanded their family to include a nephew Dennis, and for a short time a niece Donna, before their youngest son was born. Terry returned to work, first at the New Central Cafe and then the Pines Restaurant. After retirement she spent her time puttering with her tomato plants and enjoyed spoiling her children and grandchildren. Upon Robert's retirement they moved to Saskatoon. Here Theresa enjoyed visiting with family and making new friends as well as outings around the city. A funeral services was held on Saturday September 4 at 2:00 PM at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in Hudson Bay with The Rev. Fr. Mariusz Zajac officiating. interment followed in the St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Tim Soanes, Anthony Carter, Danny Carter, Jared Carter, Matt Warner, Jeff Gerwing, and Darren Grychowski. Honorary pallbearers were mentioned as "All Those Who Have Shared In Theresa's Life". The eulogy was delivered by Pastor Fred Carter. Following the interment, lunch was served by the St. Dominic's Altar Society. Donations in memory of Theresa may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements for the late Theresa Carter were entrusted to Blair's Funeral Home Ltd., of Hudson Bay, SK.
