FARMINGDALE -- Theresa C. Smith, age 48, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at her home.She was born in Portland on Aug. 15, 1961, a daughter of James R. and Malvina M. (DeVeau) Edwards.Theresa was a graduate of Chenango Valley High School, Binghamton, N.Y., class of 1979.Theresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of tremendous faith and looked forward to the promise of her home in heaven. She was very generous with her time and found fulfillment in helping others. She enjoyed spending time camping with her husband Emery and her family at their camp in Medway.She was a homemaker for most of her life and had many interests including, gardening, sewing, crafting, reading, sailing and kayaking. Spending time with her grandson Mylan gave her great joy. Theresa was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Calvin "Vern" DeVern Edwards and Ellen Edwards and her maternal grandfather, Kenneth DeVeau.She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Emery P. Smith of Farmingdale; two daughters, Jennifer C. Raymond and her husband, Amory, of Augusta and Chelsie Emery and her significant other, Eric French, of Gardiner; her father, James R. Edwards and his wife, Beverly, of Binghamton, N.Y.; her mother, Malvina M. DeVeau-Randall and her husband, David, of Augusta; maternal grandmother, Terri DeVeau of Augusta; two brothers, Calvin Edwards and his wife, Deborah, of Johnson City, N.Y., and Kenneth Edwards of Hallowell; two sisters, Linda Pulsifer and her husband, Barry, of Hallowell and Cynthia Szymaniak of Binghamton, N.Y.; a grandson, Mylan Young Emery Raymond; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.Relatives and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. At Theresa's request there will be no public funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa's memory may be made to: Chrysalis Place, P.O.
