LIVERPOOL, N.Y. Sister Theresa Bernard St. Pierre CSJ, 79, the former Ellen Rose St. Pierre, died on Monday, January 17, 2005 at Community General Hospital, Syracuse. Sister was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Gaston and Helen (Woolever) St. Pierre. She was in her 58th year of her life as a sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Sister Theresa Bernard was a graduate of St. Anthony's School in Syracuse and received bachelor's and master's degrees from the College of St. Rose, Albany. She taught in schools of the Syracuse and Albany Dioceses including St. Brigid's and St. Patrick's, Syracuse and served as principal of St. Paul's, Mechanicville, St. Anthony of Padua, Endicott and St. James' School, Albany. Sister also was a librarian at Bishop Grimes High School, Syracuse. Since 1996, Sister was engaged in family ministry, giving faith-filled support to those dearest to her. Sister Theresa was also an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond and a sister, Rita Donigan. She is survived by a sister, Mary St. Pierre with whom she resided; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Ellen St. Pierre of Skaneateles and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Krueger Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret's Church, both in Mattydale. Committal services will be at the Provincial House at Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham, N.Y. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Syracuse.
