Finn, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2011, in Chandler, AZ.Thelma was born in Ashburnham, MA on January 23, 1922, one of 10 children raised during the Depression era. She and her late husband, Paul, married in 1942, and raised four children, all of whom survive her, Daniel (Diane) Finn of Rochester, MA, Kathleen (David) Flax of Gilbert, AZ, Michael (Judy) Finn of Greeley, CO, and Maureen "Miki" (Nasser) Dadkhah of Tempe, AZ.Thelma helped to raise dozens of other children as a day care provider for 20 years in Leominster, MA.After moving with Paul to Arizona in 1977, she went to work for Motorola until her retirement. Paul and Thelma lived in Leisure World Mesa where he passed away in 1998. Thelma continued to enjoy good friends and neighbors in that community until January 2009 when she moved to Sunrise Assisted Living in Chandler, AZ.For the past two years, she has continued to enjoy new friends, daily games of Bingo, morning coffee with her daughter, daily and weekly calls from old friends and family, surprise visits from grandchildren.Besides her children, Thelma is survived by two sisters, Bertha Landry (Ashburnham), and Janice Harling of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; six grandchildren, Tom, Erin, Kimberly, Bill, Brian and David; and seven great-grandchildren.At Thelma's request, no formal services were held. The family respectfully asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the charity of your choice in Thelma's honor. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
