She was born August 3, 1931 in Conecuh County, AL to the late Charles Benjamin Smith and Katie Mae Tatum Smith.Ellie had served in several clerical job positions during her lifetime. She loved working in her flower beds and cultivating her fruit trees and later in life attending church.Survivors include her beloved brother, Samuel (Deloris) Smith of Cantonment; sisters, Joyce Rusk and Gwendolyn Davis, both of Pensacola; and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 3 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 PM until the service hour.
