BORDENTOWN - The Rev. Jasper T. Daniels Jr. of Bordentown passed away Wednesday at home.Rev. Daniels was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. and was educated in the Roanoke public school system, North Carolina Central University, and New Brunswick Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity. He was employed by the University Medical Center where he was the clinic coordinator, he was also the Pastor of Mt. Zion AME Church of Bordentown for 15 years.Rev. Daniels was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, instructor at New Jersey Conference Institute, Board of Examiners Camden-Trenton District and health coordinator of the AME church.Rev. Daniels was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie and Jasper T. Daniels Sr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Denise; children, Toni Bailey, Jasper III, Charnele and Matthew Daniels; grandchildren, Kevin and Sy'erra Jones and Tonice Bailey; seven sisters and two brothers, Delores (Frank) Spencer, Gloria Daniels, the Rev. Sharon (Rev. Gregory) Homer, Bernice Daniels, Willie Daniels, Christine (James) Hunt, Antionette (Barry) Clark, Dr. Dwayne (Manerva) Daniels, Corlis (Mark) Wiggins; mother-in-law, Marilyn Bailey, father-in-law, Hubert Bailey; and a host of relatives, friends, clergy and the Mt. Zion Church family.Home Going Service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 19) at Shiloh Baptist Church, 104 Elizabeth St., Bordentown. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the church. Additional calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 18) at Mt. Zion AME Church, 36 E. Burlington St., Bordentown. Interment will be in Bordentown Cemetery. Professional service under the direction of Hughes Funeral Home.
