MOORE, Terry S. TERRY S. MOORE Terry S. Moore of Roswell, Georgia passed away on October 2nd, 2014 at the age of 70 after a brief illness. He was born in Santa Monica, California, where his father, Allen W. Moore Sr., a naval officer, was stationed at the end of World War II. In 1947, his family returned to the eastern shore of Maryland, where Terry spent most of his early years growing up in the town of Queen Anne. It was during this time that he developed a lifelong interest in ornithology. After graduating from Centerville High School in Centerville, Maryland in 1962, Terry attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. He graduated in 1966 with a degree in industrial engineering. Shortly thereafter, Terry served in the Navy for 4 years, and was honorably discharged in 1972 with the rank of 1st Lieutenant JG. After leaving the Navy, Terry returned to Atlanta, where he worked for IBM for 37 years as a Systems Engineer. In addition to his work at IBM, Terry remained active in the field of ornithology and served in various capacities for the Atlanta Audubon Society and the Georgia Ornithological Society. In 1980, Terry married Margaret (Peggy) Fletcher and moved to Roswell, Georgia, where he resided until his passing. Terry was a devoted husband to his wife, Peggy, and a loving father to his two living children, Mathieu and Jillian. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Allen W. Moore Sr. and Mary Virginia Moore, his brother, Allen W. Moore Jr., and his first child, Mary Margaret Moore. Terry is survived by his wife, Peggy Moore, his son, Mathieu F. Moore, and his daughter, Jillian F. Moore, all of Roswell, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Georgia Ornithological Society (P.O.
