Teresa Hendricks Morris, R.N. - Savannah - Teresa Hendricks Morris lost her battle with Breast Cancer Saturday, August 5, 2006, at Savannah Square under the care of Hospice Savannah. Born in Wawa, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Martin E. and Madeline Scofield Hendricks, Teresa attended Chester Heights Grade School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, Pennsylvania. She entered Naval Nursing Cadet Training at St. Agnes Hospital in South Philadelphia, graduating as a registered nurse in the class of 1947. Teresa worked as a nurse at St. Agnes and Germantown Hospitals in Philadelphia, and then became Superintendent of Nurses at Fair Acres Hospital in Lima, Pennsylvania. She also worked at hospitals in Rivervale, New Jersey and Atlanta, Georgia. She was an EMT with Lima Fire Company Ambulance, a volunteer nurse with the Rivervale, New Jersey Ambulance Company, and a First Responder with the Skidaway Island First Responders. While living on Skidaway Island, Teresa was a Skidaway Island Library volunteer, a member of the Skidaway Island Landlovers and Encore, and was a former member of the Landings Club Nine Hole Golf Group. She was a Eucharistic Minister of St. James Catholic Church, a member of the Health Ministry and the New Parishioners Welcoming Group. Teresa is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Tom; three children, Karen T. Stone of Jacksonville, Florida, Thomas J. Morris, Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Polk City, Florida and Sandra M. Campbell and her fianc , Tim Carrig, of Woodstock, Georgia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her brother, James Hendricks of Morton, Pennsylvania, brother-in-law, M. Patrick Morris of Lenni, Pennsylvania, brother-in-law and sister -in-law, William and Betty Morris of Jensen Beach, Florida; sister-in-law, Jean Hendricks of Norfolk, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin and John Hendricks. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2006, at St. James Catholic Church. The family will host a reception at the church following the Mass. The entombment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
