Athens<!--Athens-->Funeral for Tammy Ruth Steelman Brooks, 38, of Athens will be Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Don Osborne and Donald Terry officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Brooks, who died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, in Athens, was born March 3, 1969, in Elkmont to George and Elsie Pauline Brooks Steelman. She worked for Wendy's of Athens as a shift manager. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her parents, George and Elsie Steelman of Athens; two sons, Justin Heath Morris and Brian Quinton Morris, both of Athens; two daughters, Amber Brook Morris and Amelia Dawn Hatton, both of Athens; three brothers, Larry Steelman and wife, Esther, Jerry Steelman and wife, Joan, and Terry Steelman and wife, Brenda, all of Athens; six sisters, Judy Cobb and husband, Doug, of Decatur, Betty Kelley and husband, Wayde, Nancy Blankenship, Hazel Barnes and husband, Jack, and June Steelman, all of Athens, and Peggy Dugger and husband, Jim, of Falkville; and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
