Meyers Smith age 55 of 7211 Selleck Road, Savona, NY 14879 went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday September 22, 2014, at home after a long battle with cancer. She was born on December 3, 1958 in Bath, the daughter of the late George W. Caparulo and Rita (Sutton) Caparulo. She married Daniel S. Smith on October 12, 2008 in Savona. Tammy graduated from Addison Central School. She retired from Philips Lighting in Bath, March 2014. She enjoyed working at Philips Lighting, reading her Bible and true animal stories, doing puzzles, drawing, her computer, and especially loving her five dogs; Harley, Willy, Tyler, Cody and Dakota and three cats; Shadow, Socks and Megan. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Smith; her mother, Rita Caparulo of Bath; two brothers, Terry (Nevada) Caparulo of Cameron and Tracy (Deborah) Caparulo of Cameron; and three sisters, Tara (Tim) Coots of Bath, Tina (companion Ron Horton) Gottstine of Bath and Tonia Lechner of Addison; father and mother-in-law, Emery and Jane Smith of Bradford; sisters-in-law, Cindy French of Bradford and Karen (Kevin) Stephenson of McLean, VA; and a very special aunt, Joann Alexander of Campbell; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Tammy was predeceased by her father, George W. Caparulo; her brother, Tony G. Caparulo; and her nephew, Tony G. Coots. Funeral arrangements are made with Fagan's Funeral Home of Bath. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Curtis Bible Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials in Tammy's name can be given to the Curtis Bible Baptist Church, 4297 Tannery Road, Campbell, NY 14821 or to Guthrie Corning Cancer Center, 2 Guthrie Drive, Corning, NY 14830.
