Ms. Tami Denise Smith - ATLANTA - Ms. Tami Denise Smith, 43, of Atlanta passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Ms. Smith was born and lived for three years in Frankfurt, Germany. She lived in the Savannah area from the ninth grade through high school. She served in the Peace Corp. in the Dominican Republic for 2 Ú years. She attended Martha Berry College in Rome, Ga. and received her Masters Degree at West Georgia College. She taught at several Atlanta area schools and was the current Administrative Assistant at South Cobb High School. She was a volunteer at the Homeless Pets Foundation. Survivors: mother, Rudine Smith, Savannah; father, Robert Smith, Corpus Christi, TX; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Smith, Statesville, NC; sister, Nicole Smith, Washington, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. Memorial funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga. with Father Eugene Barrett officiating.
