Avis de décès de Tsgt-Gary-Alan Hall

Ret. TSGT Gary Alan Hall, 52, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, with his family by his side at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. Alan was born February 20, 1960 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the youngest son of Avery and Jewell (Tompkins) Hall. He was baptized in his youth at Golden Springs Baptist Church of which he remained a member until his death. Growing up in Anniston, Alabama, he attended Anniston High School and graduated in 1978. After high school, Alan held several positions, including Manager for Hardee's. Later he decided to continue his education at Harry M. Ayers State Technical College and in 1983 received a diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning leading him to jobs at Valley Heating and Cooling and Wildes Air Conditioning. Alan joined the United States Air Force in 1985, specializing in Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems. He had a very successful career and received many accommodations and medals. Most of his military career was spent at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida, and after 21 years of service, he decided to retire and reside in Panama City. After retirement, Alan was classified as a 100% disabled veteran due to multiple illnesses, including a severe lung disease acquired during his years in the Air Force. Alan battled his lung disease for five years and the family will remember him as a loving husband, father and son. Although Alan's life would seem short to many, those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Jackie Mitchell Hall; two sons, Andrew Hall, of Kunsan AFB, Korea and Jeremy Hall, of Panama City, Florida; his mother, Jewell Hall, of Oxford; a sister, Dianna Hall of Oxford; and two brothers Nathan Hall (Margaret) of Oxford, and Tommy Hall (Vicki) of Sophia, North Carolina; six nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held for Alan Hall at Golden Springs Baptist Church in Anniston on August 25, 2012 at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to "Second Chance of Northwest Florida", 222 East Beach Drive, Panama City, Florida 32401 to support adults living with traumatic or acquired brain injuries and their families. Many thanks to Dr. H. Crayton and his wonderful staff, Dr. Ortega and Jody Kirkland, ARNP, Fox Family Practice.
