BIRMINGHAM, THOMAS W.Thomas W. Birmingham, 86, of Yorktown Heights, formerly of Pleasantville died November 22, 2004. Loving husband of Florence and father of Nancy, Jeffrey (Pam) and Pete (Diana). Devoted grandfather of Kathryn, Laurel, Kristina and Kimberly. Tom was born in the Bronx on August 10, 1918. He served as 2nd Lieutenant in WWII as a Pilot Instructor. He and Florence were married on September 19, 1942. Tom served for over 30 years as a volunteer for the Pleasantville and Hartsdale Fire Departments. He was an original organizer of the Pleasantville Jr. and Sr. Teen Centers, and a longtime member of Pleasantville Rotary Club, where he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. An avid golfer, Tom was a longtime member of Mahopac Golf Club. He was a coach for the Hartsdale Dad's Club and a lifelong member of the Emeralds. Memorial visiting hours Wednesday 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville. Services and Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
