WILLIAMS, T. Michael Suddenly and peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2006 in his 68th year. Incredibly loved by his family: the "light of his life", his beloved wife Ginette; his sisters-in-law Judy Hemmingsen (Mississauga) and Hilary Williams (Calgary); his brother-in-law Matt Hemmingsen; his mother-in-law Margaret Weisbord and his late father-in-law Armand Weisbord, his nephews Dean Williams (Calgary) and Alex Hemmingsen and his niece Sarah Hemmingsen; his special family of Sharon McKeown and Jay Godbout and his beloved dog Bingo. An immensely proud graduate of Monmouth Boys School, South Wales and Oxford University. Michael was born on September 11, 1938 in Chepstow, Wales, son of the late Lona Pever (George) and the late Oswald Williams and brother of the late Anthony "Sarge" Williams. Michael came to Canada in 1965 and had a successful 32 year career with the Federal Public Service, latterly as an Executive in the Treasury Board and Department of National Defence. He retired in 1996. Michael was well read, highly intelligent, a sensitive and caring gentleman. His love of art and problem solving was fulfilled in his volunteer positions as Treasurer of the Kanata Civic Art Gallery, as an InfoGuide at the Ottawa Airport and in his passion for acrylic painting. He will be greatly missed by many people who knew and loved him. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 1 p.m. until Service time in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Institute and the Humane Society would be appreciated.
