Sylvia "Sue Pearl" Smith 57, died Dec. 26, 2008, at her home. She was born in Mullins, S.C., and lived in Fort Pierce for 20 years, coming from Marion, S.C. She was a cook for Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce. Survivors include her husband, Howard Smith of Fort Pierce; and brothers, Bobby Owens of Fort Pierce and Wilbert Owens of Delray Beach. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Owens; mother, Pearl Gerald Owens; sister, Esterlene Gause; and brother, Gilbert Owens. SERVICES: Visitation will from 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel in Fort Pierce. A home-going celebration will be Jan. 3 in Marion, with the Rev. Henry McGill officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery in Marion. Out of town arrangements are by Jackson and McGill Funeral Home in Marion. 
