PETERS, SYLVIA L.., 80, of Louisville, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Jewish Hospital. She was the former Sylvia L. Fryrear. She was retired from Seagram's Distillery and was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin C. Peters; her son, Stephen Peters (Tracy); daughters, Sharon Smith (Michael), Judy Wathen (Michael); grandchildren, Heather Goss (Todd), Bryan and Brad Smith, Caleb, Sadie and Seth Peters; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Spencer Goss and Carson Smith; sisters, Lucille Sechrist and Mabel Cash; and her brother, William Fryrear, Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, Pindell Ave. at Hess Lane, with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenue. Expressions of sympathy to St. Joseph Orphan's Home.
