Suzanne Meyer October 27, 2009 Suzanne Meyer, 60, passed away Tuesday at home peacefully with her family by her side. A life resident of Syracuse, she was presently working as the Administrator for Joslin Diabetes Center at SUNY Upstate Medical Center as an RN, CDE for over 20 years. Suzanne received the New York State Professional nurse of the Year award from 2001 to 2002. Mrs. Meyer was a member of the American Diabetes Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators, Pediatric Nursing Association, American Cancer Society and Can Surmount Program. She was predeceased by her mother, Eileen Argy; and sister, Eileen Wilkins. Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, William F. Meyer of Cicero; sons, William (Cherri Linder) Meyer and Robert (Chris) Meyer; daughter, Kelly (Kyle) Duncan; grandchildren, Hallie and Nathan Meyer and Samantha Duncan; father, Robert Argy; sister, Linda (Warren) Bader; brother, Michael Argy and several nieces and nephews and her devoted and loving dog, Scruffy. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 9 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church of Cicero where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
