Mrs. Susie Isabella Carter - Guyton -Mrs. Susie Isabella Carter, 77, died on Friday, October 20, 2006 at her home, Born in Coffee County, Mrs. Carter was raised in Baxley and lived in Garden City prior to moving to Guyton seven years ago. She was formerly an active member of Central Baptist Church before becoming a member of Faulkville Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Dean Carter. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Bryant "Dick" Carter of Guyton; daughter and son-in-law, Sheena Carter and Anthony Gatch of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Pat Carter of Guyton; grandchildren, Daniel and Laura Gatch and Rickey Carter; step-grandchildren, Michael and Richard Kramer; sisters, Iris Crapps of Baxley and Willie Mae Cauley of Baxley and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral: 2 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of the .funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
