Susannah Guerry Lee N. CHARLESTON - Susannah Guerry Lee, 97, of North Charleston, SC, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM, January 24, 2015 at Doorway Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Interment will be private. Sue was born on October 23, 1917, in Cades, SC, the daughter of William S. and Hattie Matthews Guerry and grew up in St. Stephen, SC. She taught Kindergarten for many years before working at the Charleston County Office Building as a switchboard operator for the county. She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir for many years. She is survived by three daughters, Diane Allison, Wanda (Harold) Roberts, and Sharon (Jerry) Lefever; four grandchildren, Krista Gentry, Trisha Reichle, Jason (Dusti) Roberts, Lisa (Darvi) Amick, and Laura Smith; and nine great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Doorway Baptist Church (7825 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29418).
