SUSAN LOUISE LARSON (NEE KUNA) PORTAGE/HAMMOND Susan Louise Larson, age 63, of Portage, formerly of Hammond, entered into the gates of Heaven on Sunday, July 27, 2014. She is survived by her four children: Lisa (Roger) Smith, Brian (Erika) Vetter, Jason Mathews and Tiffany Larson; five grandchildren: Nicki, Allix, Sarah, Megan, Alexandrea; mother, Mildred K. Kuna; three brothers: Dennis (Patricia) Kuna, David (Joyce) Kuna, Joseph Kuna; several nieces, nephews and many pets. Preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kuna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond, (Hessville) with Father Charles Mosley celebrant. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 for a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). There will be a time of viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the mass at 9:30 a.m. Susan grew up in the Hessville section of Hammond and was a 1968 graduate of Morton High School. Susan was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, and she loved animals. She worked hard to rescue as many as was possible. Susan adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Susan was a very loving and caring mother, grandma, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
