->Johnson, Susan LampreySusan Doris Lamprey Johnson died June 14, 2012 following a brief illness at the Meadow Ridge Continuing Care Community in Redding, CT where she and her husband retired. Sue was born March 28, 1924 to Randolph Hyde and Elsie Marie Corell Lamprey in New Rochelle, NY. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a BA in Physical Education and Health and degrees in elementary and secondary education. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi educational society and the Mortar Board senior women's honorary. She taught physical education and health at the Alexander Hamilton High School and the Hillside Avenue Elementary School in Elmsford, NY.Sue married Ellsworth Potter Johnson on January 24, 1948. She is survived by her husband of 64 years and two sons, Douglas Potter Johnson and Walter Randolph Johnson. There are three grandchildren, Brian James Johnson and twins, Peter Randolph and Rachel Sue Johnson.Sue has been active in her community. She was a member of the Church in the Highlands in White Plains and served as a Trustee and Deacon. She was a member of the White Plains Women's Club since 1938 and was president 1972-1974. She was a member of the White Plains Hospital Auxiliary and served on its board as well as on the Hospital Board of Directors. She was a hospital volunteer for 58 years. Sue was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for 25 years at the offices of the Heathcote Medical Associates in Scarsdale, NY.There will be a memorial service on June 27th at 4:00 at the Meadow Ridge Continuing Care Community auditorium.
