Susan Elder Lee, 66, Calvary, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1 at her residence. She was born June 21, 1946 in Marion County. Lee worked as a librarian with the Marion County Board of Education, and was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Francis Earl Lee; her parents, Joseph Bertrand and Dorothy Marie Abell Elder; and a brother, Randall Elder. Survivors include: a daughter, Kristi Lanham of Lebanon; a son, Greg Lee of Lebanon; a sister, Lucretia (Jude) Thomas of Lexington; a brother, Larry (Mary) Elder of Lebanon; a sister-in-law, Lelia Ann Elder of Lebanon; a special friend, Melissa Abell of Lebanon; and three grandchildren, Danielle, Taylor, and Hannah Lanham. A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling officiated. Rev. Chris Rhodes and Rev. Jim Graf assisted. Active pallbearers were Matt Thomas, Dennis Elder, Josh Elder, Robert Lee, Richard Elder, and Alan Lee. Honorary pallbearers were Melissa Abell, Sara Thomas, Carrol Nally, Leona Zuelly, Dorothy Netherland, Lois Southall, Charlotte Falvai, David Knopp, Pat Abell, Lois Stayton, Kim Medley, and Sister Mary Lois Speaks. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
