Sue passed away peacefully on May 9 at her home in Ormond Beach FL, age 66. She was born and resided in Syracuse, NY for 24 years. She attended St. John the Evangelist High School (1966) and Powelson Business Institute (1967). She was a loyal wife to Richard for 41 years; proud mother to Benjamin (Jennifer), and Katherine of Charlotte NC, and Patrick of FL; loving sister to Peter (Gloria, deceased), William (Marianne), Margaret Byrnes (Larry) of Syracuse, NY, John, deceased (Gia) of Bridgewater, CT. She loved being Aunt Sue to 20 nieces and nephews, and leaves behind many dear friends. After marriage she resided in Binghamton and Endwell, NY for 38 years where she worked at secretarial positions and nurtured children. Much of her enjoyment came from long and early hours spent at ice hockey rinks and field hockey games - she was an enthusiastic and vocal (sometimes very) supporter. Sue was also an avid reader and passed that beautiful trait to her children. Sue had her Dad's compassion and Mom's Irish grit and liked to remind people that she was a "Herron". Services will be held in Syracuse, NY on May 24, 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 4471 Onondaga Blvd. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers and because of her love for dogs, donations of time or money to any type of animal rescue organization would be welcome. Rest in pain free peace. Date of Death: May 9, 2014
