Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Sue Frances Davidson Kelly, 77, of Glencoe, who died Friday, July 25, 2014. Pastor Eric House will officiate. Burial will follow in Altoona-Walnut Grove Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of services.Miss Kelly was born in Stearns, Ky., but lived most of her life in the Gadsden area. She was a member of Hokes Bluff First Baptist Church, where she previously taught Sunday School. She taught Senior English for 27 years at Cherokee County High School and was a part-time English teacher at Gadsden State Community College for 40 years. She was a faithful Christian who unconditionally loved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, John Mark Brothers; mother, Maude Eugenia (Cain) Davidson; father, Sessel Houston Davidson; sister, Carolyn June (Davidson) Humphries; and brother, Paul Eugene Davidson.She is survived by her daughter, Mary Brothers (Danny) Jones; son, James Matthew Brothers; grandchildren, Sharon Wells (M-C) Reid, April Brothers, Jana Brothers, Amy Brothers, Jason Jones and Danielle Jones (David) Tooker; great-grandchildren, Jacob King, Jessie Tooker, Madelyn Schram and Lucas Schram; sisters, Linda Davidson Walker and Patricia Davidson Mayo; sister-in-law, Dorothea Brothers Davidson; a number of loving nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Andy Brown, Keith Lowman, Kim Gilbert, Jason Jones, Michael Walker and Alan Howard.Honorary pallbearers will be the precious ladies in the Homebound Ministry at Hokes Bluff First Baptist.Special thanks to the seventh-floor nursing staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Gadsden Regional Hospice, who lovingly and tenderly took care of her and her family.Family will receive friends from noon until time of service Monday at the funeral home."But they that wait upon The Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."
