Stewart E. Harris July 31, 1939 July 4, 2008 Stewart (Stu) passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2008 at St. Paul's Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Stu is survived by his wife, Muriel; his daughter, Devona (Bob) Moore and son Trevor, his son Donavon (BJ) Harris and their children, Haleigh, Jesse, Sydney & Jared; his step son-in-law, Nathen Bohrson & his son Zachary. He also leaves his brother, Milson (Pat) Harris, sisters, Maureen (Grant) Wirth , and Glenda Boyle as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many long time friends. Stu was prececeased by his parents, Tom and Mabel Harris and his step daughter, Tracy Bohrson. Stewart grew up in the Big Muddy country of southern Saskatchewan where he often reminisced about his childhood days on the farm and in the countryside he loved. One of his favourite enjoyments was the many years he spent either farming or helping with the family farm especially during seeding and harvest seasons. As a young man, he began his career in the building & land development business with Cairns Homes in Regina. He moved to Saskatoon in 1963 and started NuCentral Homes in 1973. Stu was a residential builder for many years as well being involved in some commercial, condo and other land development projects. He was actively involved in the industry associations and was highly regarding for his honesty and integrity in business. Stu was full of life and his family was his pride and joy, especially the time he spent with his six grandchildren. He enjoyed travelling, story telling, dancing, a good game of cards and a chance to take a couple bucks off his golfing buddies. Some of his happiest times were the five years he and Muriel spent motor homing in California and Arizona in the winter. He will be remembered for his keen sense of humour, his perfectionism, and his generous and loving personality. A celebration of Stewart's life will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the St. Paul's United Church, 454 Egbert Avenue, Saskatoon. The family expresses a special thanks to the caregivers at Palliative Care Unit, St. Paul's Hospital, for their compassion and kindness during Stewart's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stu's memory to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul's Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
