Steven Wayne Parker April 17, 1980- March 6, 2006 COLUMBUS, GA— Steven Wayne Parker died Monday morning in an automobile accident and has gone on to a better life. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10th at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home on Macon Road in Columbus, Ga. with burial in Parkhill Cemetery following the services. Visitors may pay their respects on Thursday evening between 6 and 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Steven was born in Columbus, Ga. on April 17, 1980 and died March 6, 2006. He was the much loved son of Dewey and Dianne Parker, both of Columbus, Ga. Steven leaves behind his beautiful daughter Haley Alaina Plauche who is six years old. Steven attended Columbus High School and after graduation completed additional training in the real estate profession ending in licensing as a Registered Appraiser. He worked with his father in the appraisal business and had completed his experience requirements to become a fully licensed appraiser. Stevens short life filled those who loved him with joy and admiration for his efforts to overcome the illness of schizophrenia which struck him at the age of nineteen and devastated his remaining six years. Steven is survived by his daughter Alaina Plauche of Nashville, Tn., his parents Dewey and Dianne Parker of Columbus, Ga., maternal grandparents Darrell and Joy Taylor of Columbus, Ga., paternal grandparents Dewey Parker of Hollywood, Al. and Gladys Padgett of Murfreesboro, Tn. and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be badly missed by those left behind but will live on in the memories of those who loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations to an education fund for his daughter Alaina may be made in care of Dewey W. Parker, Jr. at P.O. Box 8614, Columbus, Ga.
