Steve M. Campbell, age 62 of Milton, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011. Steve was born on August 7, 1949 in Stockton, Calif., and had resided in Santa Rosa County since 1965. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for the Santa Rosa County Road and Bridge Department for 32 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 340 and the Harley Owners Group #712. Steve enjoyed fishing, traveling and motorcycling,He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Rycraft ; father, Harvey Lee Campbell; and sister, Marsha Campbell.Steve is survived by his wife of 19 years, Mary Pennington Campbell; sons, Steven and Shawn Campbell; Mary's sons, John and Steven Eagen; daughter, Dawn; brother, Harvey (Susan) Campbell; sister, Marlene (Bill) Swanson; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and Mary's extended family. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, with Bro. Clain Roberts, officiating. Visitation began at 1 pm one hour prior to services.
