She attended the University of Miami, and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Florida, she moved to the area 18 years ago from Wauchula, Fla. She was a member of Abundant Life Church and taught at the Sarasota Christian School for the past 10 years. She is survived by her husband Chris; 2 daughters, Chelsea and Shelbie; 1 brother, Scott (Shannon) Rhoden of Columbus, Ohio; 1 sister, Jamie Lang of Auburndale, Fla.; her mother, Laura and step-father, James Hensley of Avon Park, Fla., and her step-mother Bobby Rhoden of Wauchula, Fla. She is pre-deceased by her father, Donald Rhoden; 2 brothers, Benjamin Cotton and Troy Rhoden; her paternal grandparents, Rev. John Henry and Inez Rhoden; Maternal grandparents, Lynn and Dorothy Paramore.
