Master Sgt. Stanley Thomas Starr (Ret.), age 50, passed away on May 13, 2013. He was born on April 7, 1963. He was a loving husband, father, brother and papa. He made everyone smile and laugh; Stanley never met a stranger. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years, including numerous overseas tours. He loved his career as a C130 Turbo-prop mechanic and continued his award winning career at Lockheed Martin. He also proudly served as the Commander of American Legion Post 235.He is survived by his wife, Stacie Starr; his two children, Tonya Smith and Justin Starr; son-in-law, Nick Smith; grandchildren, Hali and Jaxon Smith; sisters, Darlene Grenier, Donna Gallichant, Denise Bedard, Doreen Jolley, Dawn McIntyre, Dorothea Meholick and Deanna Digs; and brother, Stephen Starr.He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Viola Starr; his sister, Debbie; and brothers, Michael, Scott and Shawn Starr.A funeral service will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 5 p.m. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 235, on Hollywood Blvd after the funeral service.
