Sister Mary de Sales Murphy, OSU (Eleanor), beloved member of the Ursuline Bedford Park Community, died at 1338 North Avenue, New Rochelle on July 4, 2008. Sister was a dedicated religious educator, having taught at Our Lady of Mercy School and in the elementary and secondary departments of the Academy of Mt. St. Ursula. She served as principal of St. Jerome's and St. Philip Neri parochial schools and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mt. St. Ursula Speech Center, was treasurer of the Ursuline Community and served a term as Associate Superior. Sister is survived by her brother James and his wife Virginia of Pittsburgh, PA; her nephew and his wife, James and Clarita McLean of Miami Beach, FL; her niece and her husband, Joanne and John Shea of Monroe, NY; and several beloved grandnieces and grandnephews. Viewing will be in the Chapel of the Ursuline Province Center, 1338 North Avenue, New Rochelle on Monday, July 7th from 2-5pm & 6:30 to 8:30pm. The Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Tuesday, July 8th at 10am followed by burial at St. Raymond's Cemetery. www.LloydMaxcy.com
