Sophie (Stefanczak) Morgan, age 90, of Braintree, died peacefully, Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the John Scott House in Braintree surrounded by her loving family. Sophie was born in Lowell, and she was raised and educated in Dorchester. She lived in Braintree for over thirty years, previously living in Dorchester. She worked as a devoted homemaker. Sophie enjoyed music, dancing, and reading. Her life was focused on her family. Beloved wife of the late George E. Morgan III. Devoted mother of Diane F. Ronayne of Braintree, Donna M. Ronayne of Braintree, and John J. Tanguay of Boston. Loving grandmother of seven grandchildren including Deidre D. Hopkins of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours were held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy, Friday, May 6 from 3-7 p.m. Interment will be private.
