SYCH, Sophie MarthaOctober 1, 1914 ~ August 13, 2015It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sophie Sych of Calmar, AB at the age of 100 years and 10 months.She will be lovingly remembered by her sons John (Arlene) and Phillip (Joyce); her grandchildren Brenda Sych, Jeff (Victor), Leanne (Karl) Norrena, Catherine (Don) Kehoe, Mark (Meaghan); and great- grandchildren Hailey, Ryley, Cole, Mira, Ewan and Lilia. Sophie was predeceased by her husband Andrew; her parents Nettie and John Iwanicka; her brothers Steve, William, Peter, Sam and Paul; and sisters Effie and Annie.A Candlelight Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church of Leduc. The funeral will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church of Leduc (West on Hwy 19 to Range Road 260 Cohne Dale Road turn south), with interment in the Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church of Leduc, or a charity of one''s choice.
