Sonya Gordon Jones, 88, died Dec. 5, 2012, at her home in Stuart. She was born in Newton, Mass., and lived in Stuart for 24 years, coming from Madison, N.J. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Martin County Republican Council 100; Republican Executive Committee of Martin County; Madison Community Pool (original member), Madison Republican Committee; and Madison Kindergarten and Nursery School. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert D. Jones of Stuart; daughters, Kimberleigh Jones Kennedy of Palm Bay and Whitney Jones Cordero of Hereford, Ariz.; sons, Courtney Scott Jones of Milford, N.J., and Kelley Gordon Jones of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald Reagan Foundation or Stuart Area Panhellenic 13093 S.E. Hobe Hills Drive, Hobe Sound, FL 33455 Services: Memorial services to follow in January 2013.
