SMITH ALTON BRYANT SMITH 92 , passed away Thursday (July 29) at St. Lukes Hospital. Before retiring he worked for A&P Grocery chain as a truck driver and warehouse attendant. Born in Wheeler, GA. the son of Columbus B. & Emily M. (Rowland) Smith. He moved to the Jacksonville area in 1940 from Georgia. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WW II. Mr. Smith is survived by a daughter Constance Alteen Johnson. One Granddaughter Rebecca Harris, two brothers Clifford Smith and Julian Smith. A sister Juanita Hall. Funeral services will be Monday at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4315 Main St. Jacksonville, at 10 AM, with Rev Harris Touchston, officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in Sardis Baptist Cemetery, Greenwood, GA. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
