STEPHENS, Sister Mary, C.S.J. (formerly Sr. M. Constance) - Died peacefully at St. Joseph's Infirmary on Saturday, June 27, 2009. She is the daughter of the late Walter H. Stephens and Kathleen Ryan. She is predeceased by her sisters Anne Donovan and Clare Bruce, her brother Michael John and two infant brothers Victor and Anthony. She is survived by her brother Paul Joseph of Toronto as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Sr. Mary entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto on February 11, 1943 and served in the ministry of education for nearly thirty years. Following this, she moved into library work as well as providing secretarial support to a variety of ministries. For some years she was co-ordinator of a CSJ Associates group at Morrow Park. Most recently her ministry has been one of prayer and hospitality. Her wake will be held at St. Joseph's Convent, 3377 Bayview Ave. on Monday, June 29th from 3:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 30th at 10:30 a.m. with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
