->Shirley R. Thomsen SCHUYLERVILLE – Shirley R. Thomsen, 83, passed away on October 26, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late Helen and Howard Frost and sister of the late Marian Weeden. Shirley graduated from Lansingburgh High School, Class of 1949. She was employed at Behr-Manning/Norton Company in Watervliet, in Office Personnel and Factory Personnel, for over 40 years, retiring in 1988. Shirley and her husband loved to travel and vacationed in such places as the Caribbean, Mexico, Canadian Rockies, Hawaii, Alaska and many of the US National Parks. After her retirement Shirley and Jack lived in Yuma AZ for six months each winter. Shirley enjoyed having lunch each month with the girls she went to “Burgh” with. Survivors include her devoted husband, Jack Thomsen of Schuylerville, son, Tom (Cate) Thomsen of Mechanicville, daughter, Jacqueline DiVirgilio of Clifton Park and two grandsons, Scott (Rebecca) Thomsen and Brett Thomsen. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
