Shirley Rogers-Pringle December 9, 1930 - June 29, 2015 With deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Shirley Rogers-Pringle of Rothesay N.B. on June 29, 2015 at her cottage in Wickham N.B. Shirley was the daughter of the late Lloyd Smith and Irene Smith-Day. Born in Moncton she had resided in and around Saint John most of her life. Shirley was a well-respected Saint John Optician and began her optical career with two well-known Optometrists, Eli and Louis Boyaner. She later managed the Sears Optical for many years. Shirley enjoyed walking, reading, and loved to garden. She looked forward with pleasure to the summers at the family cottage where she spent many hours in her gardens. Shirley was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed their many gatherings. She will be forever in our hearts and memories. She was predeceased by her husband Robin Alan Pringle in August 2012. She leaves one son, Anthony (Tony) Rogers (Karen Volgmann) of Kingston, N.B. Two daughters, Carla MacNeil (Michael) of Quispamsis N.B. and Sharon Pritchard (Chris Davis) of Portugal. Two sisters, Alveata Nairn, Saint John N.B. and Mildred McCavour of Edmonton Alberta. Grandchildren Tanya Pritchard (Steve Lindsay) of England, Leanne Hazell (Paul) of England, Christopher Volgmann (Katelin Cameron) of Hampton NB., Brendan and Madeline MacNeil of Quispamsis. Great grandchildren Jessica, Jake, Kai Lindsay of England. Several nieces and nephews and many loving friends who will all miss her dearly. “Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same.” Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West, (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Friday July 3, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 11:00 am from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery on Manawagonish Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society, N.B.
