SMITH -Shirley Anne was born on September 2, 1941 at Port Arthur, Ontario and passed away suddenly on December 28, 2006 in Regina, SK. She was predeceased by her father Ernie Doubleday and son-in-law Ric Newman. Shirley is survived by her mother Mary Heinrich; loving husband Gordon; son Carter Smith; daughter Danette Dawkin (James) and their children Georgia and Nate; and daughter Jaylene Smith-Newman; as well as extended family and many friends. The family wishes to extend a thank you to all those that provided care to Shirley at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre and the Pasqua Hospital. The support shown to Shirley and her family by her many friends is also appreciated. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917a Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2P6 or the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 7T1.
