ROBINSON, Shirley Roberta(nee Newman)Passed away, in hospital, on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the age of 71 years. Daughter of the late Harrison J. Newman and Dorothy E. Buckley. Beloved wife of the late George C. Robinson. Loving mother of Greg (Catherine), Cambridge and John (Lianne), Ottawa. Loving and proud Grandma of Callie, Tyler and Justin Robinson. Dear sister of Penny Martin (Bill), Oshawa and Dorothy Ann (Dorie) Major (Gord), Lombardy. She is also survived by her brother-in-law F.W.F. Bill Robinson (the late Lynne) and Douglas Gifford (the late Ann), her Aunt Helen Newman (late Arthur) of St. Catharines, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley will also be greatly missed by her precious dog Simon. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shirley's best friend, Carol Dell and the SRB Ladies, for all of their support and assistance, as well as to Dr. R. Segal and her team at the Ottawa Hospital, and the nursing staff at the Queensway- Carleton Hospital for their care and compassion. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) on Thursday, July 24th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. and on Friday, July 25th from 11:30 a.m. until time of service, which will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
