O'BRYAN - SMITH, Shirley Elizabeth Shirley passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the Belleville General Hospital on Monday June 8, 2009 in her 57th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Grenville Smith and loving mother of Steve Fobert, Dan Fobert (Amber Coulas), Mary-Anne Fobert and Susan Crone. Daughter of the late James and Ella O'Bryan. Predeceased by brother Robert (Survived by Gilda). She will always be the beloved sister and best friend of Mary Fox (Leon). Half sister of Kathleen Murphy (Norm). Sister-in-law of Doug Smith and Phillip Smith. Loved and missed by her many nieces, nephews and three great nephews. Forever remembered by Tracey and Sharon. The fammily will receive friends at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME, 150 Church St., Belleville 613-968-6968 on Wednesday June 10, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday June 11, 2009 from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Funeral Service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Cremation with burial at Belleville Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorial donations to the BGH - Oncology or the Ottawa Reginal Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
