Shirley Jean Freeman, 75 of Chipley, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at Wiregrass Medical Center. Ms. Shirley was born in Houston County, Ala., on Feb. 4, 1939 to the late Levy P. and Ozie E. Windham Vann. She enjoyed quilting with the Quilting Club of Wausau and was a member of Oakie Ridge Baptist Church.She is proceeded in death by her husband, Odell Freeman.She is survived by four children, Kathy Lynn Young, Katie Ann Freeman, Ronald Odell Freeman and Peggy Jean Rosario (Tony); sister, Peggie Vann; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at a later date.
