Sheryl Diane Williams 1965-2014 Sheryl Diane Williams After a long and very courageous battle with cancer, Sheryl D. (Cole) Williams of Smithfield, NB went home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Sheryl died peacefully with her husband by her side on April 6, 2014 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Sheryl was a beautiful woman inside and out who could light up a room with her presence. Sheryl was a longtime employee with Jackson Davis Law Firm and a present employee with Plaza Atlantic. She was born at Harvey Station, NB in 1965, the youngest daughter of Gerald and Norma (Christie) Cole. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Jeff Williams; her children, Shaun Williams (Jill) and Courtney Williams, both of Smithfield, NB; a grandson Brody Williams; her parents, Gerald and Norma Cole, Harvey, NB; two sisters, Charlene Cormier (Fred), New Glasgow, NS and Donna Hoyt (Roger), Harvey, NB; a brother, Nelson Cole (Dawn), Harvey, NB; her parents-in-law, Dave Williams, Harvey, NB and Donna Williams, Harvey, NB; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the Williams family; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Fred and Edna Cole, Earl and Mabel Christie and a nephew, Jeffrey Cormier. Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Symthe St. Cathedral, Fredericton, NB with Rev. Wayne Flowers, Rev. George Clark and Rev. Hubert Perkins officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be Kim Nolais, Deborah Wood, Cheri Prieur, Velvet Patterson, Amanda Cleghorn and Dawn Cole. Active pallbearers will be nephews Colin Cormier, Justin Cole, David Williams, Daniel Williams, HC Watson and Mitchell Watson. In lieu of flowers and for those who wish to make a donation in memory of Sheryl, the family has suggested the Harvey High School Scholarship Fund. Sheryl was a loving caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grammy with a strong faith and positive attitude who will be missed by many and her memories will be cherished forever.
