Sheila C. Walker WOODRUFF, SC-- Sheila Counts Walker, 70, of 350 Edgewood Circle died Friday, June 01, 2012, at her residence. A native of Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late R.P. Counts and Veneta Strickland Counts Gaines. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodruff, a graduate of Greenville Hospital School of Nursing and was a retired registered nurse having worked at several hospitals and facilities. Surviving are her husband, Curtis Walker of the home; two daughters, Tanya Jacobi and her husband, Shane of Woodruff and Tara Walker and her fiancé, Eddy Welchel of Moore; one son, Jonathan Walker and his wife, Ashley of Spartanburg; one brother, Pat Counts and his wife, Lee of Greenville and their children, Christopher Counts, Farrow DuRant, Prentiss Shealey and Claire Weise; one sister-in-law, Joyce Bates of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Kamryn Walker, Maddison Jacobi and Michael Jacobi. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 03, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Woodruff by Rev. Andrew Shull and Rev. Neil Cochran. Entombment will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 P.M. prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Over and Above Fund, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, SC 29388 or Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
