COX, SHARON MARIE, 64 of La Grange, KY, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013. She was born April 12, 1948 to Malcolm and Geneva Lavon Prather. She was a graduate of Atherton High School, and a retired School Bus Driver for the Jefferson Co. School System. She was a member of Clifton Heights Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years ("and not enough"), John A. Cox Sr.; her daughter, Jennifer Cox; her son, John A. Cox Jr.; her grandson, Ethan Tyler Cox; her mother, Geneva Ruth Prather; her siblings, Charlene Ruth Scott (Leroy), Debra O'Connell (Joe), Kenneth M. Prather (Linda) and Pamela J. Jump (Wesley); and a host of nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at noon Wednesday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave., with interment at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
